MEATPACKING DISTRICT — The NYPD is looking for two people in connection to last week's shooting on Gansevoort Street.
Police say they obtained surveillance photos of the shooter, wearing a light sweater and white hat, and a person he fled with, also wearing a light sweater, but with a hood.
The suspected gunman was in a collision with a 27-year-old driver about 4 a.m. on Dec. 8 in front of 22 Gansevoort St., police said.
The 27-year-old driver got out of his car after the impact, and walked over to the suspect, who held out a gun and demanded the driver hand over his things.
They struggled, police said, and the suspect shot the victim in the right leg. The suspect and the person he was with fled in a grey minivan, without taking anything from the victim, police said.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. All calls are kept confidential.
