MEATPACKING DISTRICT — A man was shot after a minivan driver crashed into his car in the Meatpacking District early Tuesday morning, sources said.

The 27-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, was driving away from the Griffin club with about three friends about 4:11 a.m. when a minivan passed him from behind and backed into him near Hudson and W. 13th streets, sources said.

Both drivers hopped out and started arguing, sources said.

The minivan driver, a thin man wearing a long dark jacket, then demanded the clubgoer hand over his belongings, saying, "Run your s--t," sources said.

The other man refused, so the would-be thief pulled a gun and shot him in the right arm and hip, sources said.

The drivers both drove away, sources said. The victim stopped at Gansevoort and West 13th streets to call 911, sources said.

"I've been shot," he told the dispatcher, sources said.

The man was listed in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital, police said.

Police are looking for the minivan driver.

He's described as thin with a beard and was last seen wearing a fitted cap and a long dark jacket, sources said.
