The owner of French cookware company Staub is behind this new Ditmars Boulevard eatery, which opened Monday, according to blog We Heart Astoria. The restaurant’s manager told DNAinfo last month that the menu will include its two namesake ingredients, mussels and sausages, cooked in a variety of internationally-inspired ways.

The neighborhood’s newest speakeasy features several spirit-forward cocktails like the 1933, made with aged rum, pear liqueur, angostura and black mission fig bitters. Its food menu includes an artisanal salumi plate, marinated stuffed olives and buffalo boconcini “caprese,” made with a tomato marmalade and crostini.
