BROOKLYN — A break-in victim grabbed a burglar's gun and shot him with it after a group of four forced their way into his East Flatbush home, police said.
The tenant, whose name and age were not immediately released, was in his home near Church Avenue and Linden Boulevard about 8 p.m. Sunday when four armed men broke in, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
He managed to grab a gun from one of the burglars and shoot him, sending the other three suspects running, police said.
The wounded suspect, whose name and age were also not immediately released, was treated at Brookdale Hospital, police said. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The suspect who was shot had not been formally arrested as of Monday morning, police said.
The other three intruders were still at large, police said.
