► Akichi Holiday Market

Where: The corner of Fulton Street and Spencer Place, Bed-Stuy 
When: Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

The owners of Akichi Flea Market and Akichi Night Bazaar return for the holidays with a selection of vintage goods and items from local vendors. Get your holiday shopping done and check out wares sold from inside old Airstreams. 

► Say Farewell to Splitty

Where: 415 Myrtle Ave., Clinton Hill    
When: Thursday through Saturday, various times

Neighborhood bar Splitty is going out with a bang on its final weekend. The funny guys and gals of Myrtle Comedy will perform their last show Thursday at 8 p.m. with a DJ set to follow. Come back for a special holiday happy hour between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday and stay for DJs Pablo and Madsol Desar with Filet O’ Funk at 10 p.m. Say goodbye with live surf rock by the Mankinis at 9 p.m. Saturday and a set by DJ Brian Sears at 11 p.m.

► Off the Hook from Falconworks Theater Company

Where: P.S. 15, 71 Sullivan St., Red Hook
When: Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m.

Watch three original plays by Falconworks Theater Company's youth playwrights Christopher Burgos, Helen Lingaard and Javiarre Watkins. Admission is free and reservations can be made here.

Friday, Dec. 11

► Get Your Photo Taken with the Kentile Floors Sign 

Where: 135 13th St., Gowanus
When: 5 to 9 p.m.

The Gowanus Alliance has invited a special guest to its holiday party and it’s not Santa Claus. The public is invited to have their photo taken with the “K” from the famed Kentile Floors sign, a neighborhood landmark for decades. Photos are free but you’ll need to bring a phone or camera to take the photo.

► Windsor Terrace Tree Lighting and Ugly Sweater Contest

Where: Our Lady’s Field on Windsor Place between Prospect Park West and Howard Place, Windsor Terrace
When: 6:30 p.m. 

Hear live rock music by Full Disclosure, get a photo with Santa, and bring an ornament to help decorate the tree at this tree lighting. There will be an ugly sweater contest and cookies, hot chocolate and apple cider will be for sale.

► See a One Woman Play Set in a Bathtub

Where: An apartment in Park Slope; the exact location is revealed after a ticket is purchased
When: 7 and 9 p.m. (there are also performances on Thursday night and Saturday night)

► Fulton Park Tree Lighting 

Where: Fulton Park, Fulton Street and Stuyvesant Ave., Bed-Stuy 
When: 7 to 9 p.m. 

The Stuyvesant Heights Parents Association hosts the 16th annual Fulton Park tree lighting, complete with giveaways and performances from local children’s groups. Following the ceremony, the festivities continue at St. Philip’s Church for Santa, snacks, and more. 

► Columbia Waterfront District Tree Lighting

Where: The Human Compass Garden, Columbia and Sackett streets
When: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The local community garden is celebrating the holidays with refreshments from local restaurants, music and a photo-op with Santa Claus for its ninth annual tree lighting. 

Saturday, Dec. 12

► The Wake Up: Brunch Edition - Early Morning Dance Party 

Where: 325 Franklin Ave., Bed-Stuy    
When: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Start your morning off with a rave — music, food, and dancing, all before noon. This dry dance party is designed to “wake up the mind, body and soul,” according to organizers. Proceeds go to Globalizing Gender, a non-profit that works to stop gender-based violence. 

► “Walk the Windows” on Atlantic Avenue

Where: Atlantic Avenue, between Hicks Street and 4th Avenue    
When: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

The holidays have arrived on Atlantic Avenue. Enjoy free holiday treats, live music, special discounts and a host of holiday activities as businesses along Atlantic show off their festive window displays. Activities include a free group fitness class at the Dodge YMCA, a holiday craft fair at the House of the Lord church, a holiday wine tasting at Grape Hill Liquor Traders, and holiday caroling with the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Kids can whisper their holiday wishes to Santa at DIG and then sit down for story time with the Snow Queen and a Santa photo-op at GUMBO.

M.S. 839 Winter Festival

Where: M.S. 839, 713 Caton Ave., Kensington    
When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The public is welcome at this all-day festival to support M.S. 839, District 15’s newest middle school. There will be food, games, crafts and a silent auction for items such as tickets to see "The Tonight Show" starring Jimmy Fallon and a semester of art classes at Third Avenue Clay.

► Window Wonderland 

Where: Grand Street between Bushwick Avenue and Union Avenue
When:  1 to 4 p.m.

Stroll down Grand Street and check out the fanciful window displays prepared by local high schoolers. Vote on your favorite window display at La Gringa Taqueria (800 Grand Street) before 4 p.m. and you’ll be entered to win a $100 prize. There’s also a face painting station and Santa will be there.

► Von King Tree Lighting 

Where: Herbert Von King Park, 670 Lafayette Ave., Bed-Stuy 
When: 5 to 6 p.m.

Celebrate the holidays with the Von King Park Conservancy and their first tree lighting festivities. Enjoy free entertainment and a dance party with cookies and hot chocolate. 

► High Stakes Dreidel Tournament

Where: Chabad Heights, 664 Sterling St., Crown Heights
When: 8 p.m.

Get spinning at this Hanukkah celebration and dreidel-playing tournament hosted by Chabad Heights, with live music, latkes, beer and “artisanal doughnuts,” the organizers said. It’ll cost you $10 to join the dreidel competition; the winner takes home the pot!

Sunday, Dec. 13

► Brower Park Tree Lighting

Where: Brower Park, Brooklyn Avenue and Park Place, Crown Heights
When: 5 to 7 p.m.

Come to Brower Park to enjoy live music performances, free refreshment and the lighting of the park’s Christmas tree, hosted by Community Board 8 and Councilman Robert Cornegy. The event is free and open to the public.

► Take a Photo with Santa "Remy the Pug" Claus

Where: Grumpy Bert, 82 Bond St. at Atlantic Avenue, Boerum Hill
When: 10 a.m. to noon

Remy, a four-year-old pug and Grumpy Bert's adorable mascot, will don his best Santa attire and post for holiday photos. Humans and dogs are both welcome. The event is free but donations are encouraged.
