CHARLESTON — A man and a woman were found fatally shot in the head in a Staten Island home in what the NYPD is treating as a murder-suicide.

Police responded to 19 Spruce St., near Richmond Road, at about 8:59 a.m. where they found 71-year-old Salvatore Piscopo and  68-year-old Rosetta Fradella with gunshot wounds to the head, the NYPD said.

EMS workers pronounced them dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing, but police said the shooting appears to be a murder-suicide.

They both lived at the address, though an NYPD spokesman said they did not immediately know if the two were involved in a romantic relationship.
