CARROLL GARDENS — A four-story residential building is being planned for Baltic Street, records show.

Permits were filed Tuesday for construction at 356 Baltic St. near Smith Street and opposite to the Cobble Hill School of American Studies, according to the Department of Buildings filing.

The proposed building will have four units and a total square-footage of 4,897, which indicates the units will likely be condos, according to records and New York YIMBY, which first reported the story.

The architect for the project will be Mortar Arch + Dev, a firm whose past work includes a six-story residential building at 100 Gold St. in Vinegar Hill and Verde, an Italian restaurant in Cobble Hill.

A listed representative of property owner PS-5 Development LLC did not immediately respond to request for comment.
