CLAREMONT VILLAGE — A drunken off-duty Bronx Transit Officer was caught exposing himself inside his car Monday morning which was parked in front of an elementary school, authorities said.

Officer Wayne Roach, 35, a nearly 10-year veteran of the NYPD, was discovered by School Safety Agent Taft Tramble sitting in the driver seat of his car with his jacket over his face asleep, his pants around his ankles and private parts exposed outside PS 134 at 10:40 a.m.

He refused to take a blood alcohol content test, but his eyes were red and watery and he was talking slowly, Tramble said in court records.

"Yeah, I was drinking hours ago," Roach admitted to the school officer, according prosecutors.

The transit officer was arrested outside the school, located at 1330 Bristow St., and charged with public lewdness and drunk driving, because the car was running when he was found, police said.

Roach was arraigned Tuesday and released without bail. He's due back in court on December 4th.
