Electric Daisy Carnival Will Return to Queens This Summer

By Katie Honan | November 20, 2015 8:41am

CORONA — The Electric Daisy Carnival is returning to a Citi Field parking lot this summer after two years at MetLife stadium in New Jersey.

The electronic music festival will be held May 14 and May 15 and feature four stages — kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS, cosmicMEADOW and neonGARDEN.

There will also be an "adult carnival" that will feature food trucks, bars and art installations along with free rides.

"EDC’s landscape is an oversize adult playground dotted with all your favorite full-size thrills. And the best part? Rides are free for everyone to enjoy!," the site said.

"Grab your festie bestie, and enjoy EDC from a whole new perspective."

Tickets for the festival go on sale at noon on Nov. 30, and range from $199 to $249 for various passes and VIP tickets.

The last EDC festival at Citi Field saw a spike in crime for the 110th Precinct, which covers the park and stadium grounds.

Deputy Inspector Christopher Manson from the 110th Precinct said they'll "police it, like any event" and ensure safety for all participants and those living around the stadium.

"We'll have more than enough manpower there and try to keep anybody safe," he said.
