BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police released surveillance video Wednesday of a suspect wanted in connection to a double shooting at a Bed-Stuy subway station.
The suspect shot a 27-year-old man in the arm, torso and thigh in the stairwell of the Utica Avenue A and C train station on Fulton Street roughly 5 p.m. Tuesday evening, according to police and sources.
A 45-year-old man was also hit in the back, police said. Both men were taken to Kings County Hospital and are listed in stable condition, according to officials.
The 27-year-old appeared to be the intended target, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
The suspect fled southbound on Utica Avenue towards Atlantic Avenue, according to police.
Video shows the suspected shooter wearing a light-gray hooded sweatshirt, light-gray sweatpants and dark-gray shoes entering a nearby store.
The shooting occurred at a busy intersection and transportation hub just before rush hour, across the street from Boys and Girls High School.
It is the third incident of violence at a subway station around the area since the start of November.
Two commuters were slashed on a C train at Ralph Avenue on Nov. 3 and two men were stabbed and punched inside the Cleveland Street J train station earlier this week.
Anyone with information related to Tuesday’s shooting should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
