PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — If you’re looking to wow your family and friends with a killer pie this Thanksgiving, you don’t have to go far to find the perfect slice.

Lots of dessert shops in the neighborhood are taking orders for Turkey Day pies this week, including Butter & Scotch on Franklin Avenue — which has a special “pumpkin spice pie” this year — Gowanus favorite Four and Twenty Blackbirds (at their outpost at the Brooklyn Public Library) and Pels Pie Co., a newcomer on Rogers Avenue.

To help you find your favorite local pie for the holiday, DNAinfo New York rounded up where — and, most importantly, by when — to get the perfect dessert in the neighborhood:

► Butter & Scotch

818 Franklin Ave., Crown Heights

Order a pumpkin spice, “s’mores,” bourbon ginger pecan or caramel apple pie (each $38) from this Smorgasburg favorite on its website by Friday, Nov. 20 and pick up the dessert at the Franklin Avenue storefront starting on Monday, Nov. 23.

► Desserts by Michael Allen

1149 Nostrand Ave., Prospect-Lefferts Gardens

This new dessert shop on Nostrand Avenue has pies in three sizes — 5, 8 and 10 inches — in five flavors: pecan, sour cream apple, traditional apple, pumpkin and sweet potato. Prices range from $6.50 for a small pumpkin to $30 for most of the 10-inch pies. The shop has cheesecake and fruit tarts for Thanksgiving, as well, staff said. Orders for any of the special holiday treats should be in by phone (347 652-1460) by the end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 24 with pick-up on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

► Four and Twenty Blackbirds

10 Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Heights

Order your pie by Tuesday, Nov. 24 from the pie specialists at Four and Twenty Blackbirds and pick it up at their outpost at the Central Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. Flavors include brown butter pumpkin, bittersweet chocolate pecan, salted caramel apple and their trademarked “Salty Honey,” each $40.

► Pels Pie Co.

The proprietor of this new pie shop, Alison Pels, is taking orders for eight types of pie through Tuesday, Nov. 23. Available flavors are: apple, plum crumble, pear almond, sweet potato marshmallow, fig buttermilk, chocolate mousse and a savory tomato basil cheddar pie for those who want something hearty.
