92Y Ceramics Studio Annual Sale

Where: 92nd Street Y, 92nd Street and Lexington Avenue, Upper East Side
When: Opening reception on Saturday at 7 p.m.; sale begins Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Browse ceramics made by more than 30 artists, priced from $10 to several hundred dollars, which were made at 92Y’s Ceramics Center. The reception on Saturday will give guests a first look at the work and the opportunity to buy a handmade drinking vessel filled with wine, champagne or sparkling cider. RSVP for the reception. A portion of the proceeds will go toward funding art scholarships.

Comics Combatives: Stories Told by Jack Kirby Pfc.

Where: 103 Allen St., Lower East Side
When: Noon to 7 p.m. every day through Nov. 29 except Mondays and Thanksgiving

The pop-up exhibition features work of legendary comic book artist and writer Jack Kirby, specifically the art and stories of pages that contain combat and action. Works on display include pages from comic books like “Captain America,” “Thor,” “The New Gods” and “Foxhole.” Suggested admission fees are $10 for the general public, $5 for students and seniors and free for members of the Jack Kirby Museum and Research Center. Children 14 years old and under can attend for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

‘Out of My Hand’ Screens at IFC Center

Where: IFC Center, 323 6th Ave., Greenwich Village
When: Four screenings daily, from 11:15 a.m. to 9:50 p.m.

The award-winning film “Out of My Hand” tells the story of a Liberian rubber plantation worker who, after becoming the leader of an ultimately fruitless worker strike, ends up trying to make a living as a yellow cab driver in New York City. Filmed by Brooklyn-based Japanese director Takeshi Fukunaga in both Liberia and New York City, the movie has been promoted by “Selma” director Ava DuVernay and won the U.S. Fiction Award at the L.A. Film Festival.

► 'Keep the Music Playing' Jazz Concert

Where: First Corinthian Baptist Church, 1912 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd., Harlem
When: 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The third annual fundraising concert hosted by Jazzmobile. Tickets start at $15 and the night includes live performances from more than 35 jazz musicians.

Saturday, Nov. 14

The Hunter Games Family Scavenger Hunt

Where: American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West and 79th St., Upper West Side
When: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Hunger Games fans will enjoy this scavenger hunt that has kids and adults working together to find food and medicine by answering questions all while encountering earthquakes, volcanoes, a giant squid, sharp-fanged hyenas, poison dart frogs, meteors and a dinosaur. Regular prices are $35 for kids aged 10-17 and $45 for adults.

When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mary Arnold Toys and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kaleidoscope

Support and celebrate indie toy stores by dropping by for a snack, giveaways and arts and crafts for Neighborhood Toy Store Day.

Historically Black College and University Fair

Where: Riverbank State Park, 679 Riverside Drive at 145th Street, Hamilton Heights
When: 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Check out this annual college fair for students, parents, and teachers. Workshops include a college prep checklist, preview of the SAT and helpful information on scholarships, grants and student loans.

'Jazz by Shakespeare'

Where: Hudson Guild, 441 W. 26th St., Chelsea
When: 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The Hudson Guild is putting on its last two productions of "Jazz by Shakespeare," an interpretation of a suite written by Duke Ellington that drew inspiration from some of Shakespeare’s most vivid characters. There will be a live jazz ensemble, actors from the theater company performing selected scenes and original choreography.

Talking Shop With Young Latino Entrepreneurs

Where: United Palace, 4140 Broadway, between 175th and 176th streets, Washington Heights
When: 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Join some of Uptown’s top Latino entrepreneurs as they share their goals, career obstacles and journey to success. Panelist include Ada Rojas, founder of Gypsyinthecity.com, Albania Rosario, founder of Uptown Fashion Week, Edrizio DelaCruz, co-founder of Regalii, Jose Morales, owner of Apt 78 and Juan Camilo, founder of Dyckman Beer Company. The forum will be moderated by Led Black, editor-in-chief of the Uptown Collective. The event is free and drinks will be provided.

Plant Bulbs in Washington Market Park

Where: Washington Market Park, at Greenwich and Duane streets, West Village
When: 11 a.m. to noon

Learn how to properly plant bulbs and flowers and work the soil at Washington Market Park. Children and adults are welcome. Gardening gloves and trowels will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Artist-in-Residence Open Studio

Where: Studio Museum, 144 West 125th St., Harlem

Visit the working studio of three artists working in the museum. Artists will share their work, process and techniques. 

Music on Madison: the St. Andrew Chorale & Orchestra

Where: Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, 921 Madison Ave., Upper East Side
When: 3 p.m.

The Saint Andre Chorale and Orchestra will open its 51st season with Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem” and “The Best Beloved” by composer Chris DeBlasio, and an organ concerto by Andrew Henderson.

Moms' Night Out

Where: New Leaf Restaurant & Bar, 1 Margaret Corbin Drive (inside Ft. Tryon Park), Washington Heights
When: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
