EAST HARLEM — He wanted to watch TV and ended up with 40 stitches across his face.

A 28-year-old man was watching television about 8:30 p.m. Friday in his first floor apartment at 2063 Madison Ave. when he stepped out to tell a man outside that he was being too loud, according to the NYPD.

This upset the man who slashed the victim across the left side of his face with an unknown object, police said.

The victim was taken Harlem Hospital and treated with 40 stitches.

Police did not find a weapon at the scene. No arrests have been made, police said.
