QUEENS — Ride your bike while sampling food from some of the borough's best restaurants, food carts and markets this weekend as part of a tour that's pushing for better access for cyclists.

The Queens Bike Initiative is organizing a special tour along the streets beneath the 7 train route from Long Island City to Flushing, hosted by borough food expert Joe DiStefano.

It kicks off Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at John Brown Smokehouse in Long Island City, stopping at Turkish markets in Sunnyside, Phil Am in Woodside, Little Tibet in Jackson Heights and more.

It ends in Flushing at the New York Food Court.

The goal of the tour is to connect riders and spread the word about the Queens bike loop, which the group pitched as a way to connect small parks around the borough.

DiStefano, an amateur cyclist, will lead the tour despite not having much experience riding. But that's the part of the point of the tour, organizer Sergio Peçanha said.

"We want to make the point of biking for everyone and to emphasize that bike connection means business, too," he said.

The tour costs $30 and includes food at every stop. Tickets can be purchased online.
