QUEENS — A popular Japanese restaurant in Forest Hills, which recently closed for renovation, will soon reopen with a new menu and name, a manager said.

Midori Matsu, a hibachi restaurant at 111-16 Queens Blvd., will now be called Shogun.

The eatery, which is slated to reopen sometime next week under new management, will keep the hibachi concept, but will expand its menu.

In addition to Japanese cuisine, the restaurant will now also serve a variety of American dishes, the manager said.

"We want to include more flavors in our menu so that more people can find something for themselves," she noted.

The menu is still being finalized, but will include a hibachi steak grilled with blue cheese and mozzarella, the manager said.
