All Weekend

► The Return of the Haunted V

Where: NYC Arts Cypher, 12 Broad St., Stapleton
When: 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night

The two-level walkthrough haunted house at the NYC Arts Cypher returns for its fifth year on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $20 for adult, $15 for children under 12 and students. On Sunday, the group will also host an open costume party at the spot with food and drinks. Tickets are $40 for the party.

Friday, Oct. 30

► Halloween Hoopla

Where: Bloomingdale Park, Prince's Bay
When: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Borough President James Oddo will host his free annual "Halloween Hoopla" for children at Bloomingdale Park. The event will have a hay maze, pony rides, photo spots, a costume parade, trick-or-treating, a performance by Patrick and the Rock-A-Silly Band and a magic show by "Magic" Mike Lane.

Saturday, Oct. 31

► Halloween at Staten Island Children's Museum

Where: Staten Island Children's Museum, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Staten Island Children's Museum will host a day of Halloween events for kids, starting with a Haunted House tours at 10 a.m. to noon. The day will also include making glow-in-the-dark oobleck, meeting "creepy crawlies," dancing to the "Monster Mash" and spooky stories. The event is free with admission to the museum.

► Haunted Skatepark

Where: 5050 Skatepark, 354 Front St., Stapleton
When: 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

5050 Skatepark will host a Halloween costume and concert featuring local bands the Rising Sun All Stars, Wester, Sicada, The Sheltering Sky 666 and more. The 18 and over event cost $10 to get in and features a photo booth by Deep Tank Studios and a costume contest with a $100 each for best dressed man and woman.

► Punk Rock Cover Show

Where: Mother Pugs Saloon, 1371 Forest Ave., Elm Park
When: 8 p.m.

Members of local bands will perform songs from their favorite punk and metal bands at the 8th annual Punk Rock Cover Show at Mother Pugs. The show features "Fakegazi" performing as D.C. legends Fugazi, "Bottled Violence" as Green Day, "Husker Don't" as Black Sabbath, "Fauxtörhead" as Motörhead, "Kaliedyscope" as the Smashing Pumpkins and "Little Dipper" as Hum. The concert is $8 and will also have a costume contest and dance party.

► Jacques Marchais Halloween Haunt

Where: Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, 338 Lighthouse Ave., Lighthouse Hill
When: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Museum of Tibetan Art will host their forth annual Halloween part and fundraiser. The event will have food, dancing, a DJ, a costume contest and an open bar with the $65 admission.

 Halloween Thriller

Where:  Kreischer Mansion, 4500 Arthur Kill Road, Charleston
When:  8 p.m. to 3 a.m.

The "haunted" Kreischer Mansion, which was the site of a Mafia killing in 2008, will host an interactive theatre piece tracing the home's bloody history. Aside from the theater piece, the event will also feature a DJ, drinks, dancing, tours of the home and a seance for VIPs. The event is 21 and older and tickets are $40 for early admission, $60 with the seance. 

► The Lorca Project: Green, How I Want You Green

Where: Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 5 p.m.

Snug Harbor's Performing Arts Salon Saturdays (PASS) series continues with a performance of "The Lorca Project: Green, How I want You Green" by artist David Antonio Cruz. The production is described as a "bilingual, experimental and interactive live performance" based on the "Sonnets of Dark Love," the last poems of Spanish author Federico Garcia Lorca. The performance kicks off at 5 p.m. with a pre-performance reception and a moderated discussion about the work will follow. Tickets are $10, half price for people who show up in costume.

Sunday, Nov. 1

► Gatsby, the Lighthouse and the Wolves of Wall Street

Where: Noble Maritime Collection, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 2 p.m.

Staten Island OutLOUD's series of the reading of "The Great Gatsby" continues with a discussion of the green light across the harbor that called to Gatsby. The event, co-hosted by Victoria Hallerman and Avi Gvili, also looks at the character's darker sides and the ways he got rich.
