Friday, Oct. 9

 Crooner Music Fest 2015

Where: Resorts World Casino New York, 110-00 Rockaway Blvd., Jamaica
When: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

This concert featuring violinist Damien Escobar and singer Ginuwine will benefit the Jamaica YMCA. Tickets for the event, hosted by La Loca of 103.9 FM and comedian Ray Dejon, are $25 for general admission. They can be purchased here. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Animal Memes From Around the World

Where: Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria
When: 7 p.m.

While the museum’s current exhibit focuses on the role of cats on the internet, this free event will look at the animals that take the online spotlight in different cultures around the globe, like goats and llamas.

► An Evening at Home with Our Founding Fathers

Where: King Manor Museum, 150-3 Jamaica Ave., Jamaica
When: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This special program will take listeners back to the early 19th century. Violinist Leah Gale Nelson and early keyboard specialist Dongsok Shin perform music published in London during Rufus King’s tenure as ambassador to Great Britain (1796-1803) — including Mozart, Boccherini and songs of Francis Hopkinson — on period instruments. The musicians will be joined by Baroque dancers in full period costumes. There will also be historical readings to set the scene. Tickets are $35, reservations are required. Saturday, Oct. 10

Halloween Costume Swap

Where: Socrates Sculpture Park’s Greenmarket, Vernon Boulevard and Broadway, Astoria
When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bring your gently used Halloween costumes, or pick one up for yourself to wear this year at this clothing swap at the greenmarket’s information tent. They’ll be accepting costume for all ages — adults, kids and even pets.

Mets Playoff Viewing Party at McFadden's Citi Field

Where: McFadden's Citi Field, entrance on 126th Street at Citi Field, Corona
When: 5 p.m.

There's no reason you should watch the Mets take on the Dodgers in LA at home or at any regular bar. McFadden's, inside Citi Field, is hosting the official viewing party for the first two games. Friday's event is sold out, but you can still buy tickets for Saturday's game. The $30 admission includes an open bar on select beers and cocktails from the first pitch to the last out.

Sunday, Oct. 11

Visit MoMA PS1 for Free

Where: MoMA PS1, 22-25 Jackson Ave., Long Island City
When: Noon to 6 p.m.

Visit the Long Island City art museum for free. Starting Sunday, MoMA PS1 will waive admission fees for New York City residents for the next year. Sunday also marks the opening of the museum’s new exhibit “Greater New York” which features the works of NYC artists and examined the city’s current art scene.

Beach 116th St. Harvest Festival    

Where: Beach 116th St., Rockaway Park   
When: Noon to 6 p.m.

This event, rescheduled after last weekend's weather, features live music, local artists and vendors selling clothing, jewelry and more. There is a food court as well as a beer garden for adults, plus jump castles and a rock climbing wall for kids.

Celebration of Play for Children of All Abilities

Where: Playground for All Children, 111th Street near Corona Avenue, Corona
When: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Kids with all different abilities can enjoy "sensory play," including building things with colored mud, painting with movement, light and sound and using aromatherapy. Educators from the Queens Museum will help with the activities.

► Harvest Festival

Where: Onderdonk House, 1820 Onderdonk Ave., Ridgewood
When: Noon to 4 p.m.

Enjoy this family-friendly festival at Onderdonk House, which will feature Nolick the Wizard, free pumpkins for the first 500 children, live music, face painting, games and crafts. Children will also get to see apple cider and candle making. The event is free for kids, $5 for adults.
