CONCOURSE — Normality has returned to Major League Baseball: the New York Yankees are back in the playoffs.

Despite losing their last game of the season to the Baltimore Orioles, the team still earned the right to host the American League Wild Card game at Yankee Stadium on Oct. 6 at 8 p.m., as the Houston Astros, their opponent, lost their final game of the season as well.

This will be the team's first trip to the playoffs since 2012 (and the first time both the Yankees and the Mets have been in the postseason since 2006), although tomorrow may be the only chance fans get to see postseason baseball in The Bronx, as the Yankees will be knocked out immediately if they don't beat the Astros.

Seats in the stadium's Legends Suite have already sold out for the game, and although some ticket holders have put them up for resale, you'll need about $1,000 at least to grab one.

Fans can still purchase general seating for the game directly from the team's website, although the most affordable options have already sold out.

As of Monday afternoon, the cheapest price left for the Wild Card game going through the team is $181, while tickets available for resale on the site are going for as low as $60.00.

If the Yankees beat the Astros, they will next host up to two home games in the divisional series against the Kansas City Royals. If they beat the Royals, they will host up to three games in the championship series against either the Texas Rangers or Toronto Blue Jays.

Regular fans can fill out the team's postseason opportunity form for the chance to see the Yankees in a playoff series.

The registration period to get tickets for the divisional series and championship series has already passed, but fans have until Oct. 12 to sign up to see them in the World Series, assuming they make it that far (hey, it happened to last year's Wild Card teams).

And remember Yankee fans: even if you lose tomorrow's Wild Card game and the team's 2015 playoff run ends after just nine innings, you still had a way better season than the Red Sox.
