Franklin Ave. Shuttle Suspended After Tree Falls on Track

PROSPECT HEIGHTS — The Franklin Avenue Shuttle was suspended after a tree bu the Brooklyn Botanic Garden fell onto the tracks Friday night, the MTA said.

A large tree limb from the gardens fell across the track shortly after 6:00 p.m., a spokeswoman for the MTA said.

Service in both directions of the train was suspended after the limb fell, and the MTA suggested riders takes the B48 bus instead.

The fallen tree was next to a building on Montgomery Street, near the Botanic Garden Building between Washington and Classon avenues, a spokeswoman for the Botanic Garden said.
