FLATIRON — A man threatened officers with a knife, and then threw his shoe at them after police arrested him and took him to a precinct, NYPD said.

Officers responded to a call of a man with a knife near the corner of Broadway and East 21st street shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 27, and when one officer identified himself as police, the suspect pulled a knife from his waistband and started approaching the officers, police said.

The officers managed to subdue the man, identified as Ernest Bodon, 35, and cart him back to the 13th Precinct station house, but he was not done putting up a fight, according to a police report.

While officers tried to process Bodon, the man allegedly tossed his shoe at one of the officers and raised his fists at them, police said.

Bodon was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, menacing with a weapon and obstructing government administration, according to court records.

He was released on $500 cash bail and he is due back in court on Oct. 2, court records show.

Bodon’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
