13 Subway Lines Slated for Disruptions This Weekend

NEW YORK - Thirteen subway lines are scheduled for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA's tracks, stations and signal systems undergo maintenance.

Here's a breakdown by line:

1 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 1 trains are suspended between 14th Street and South Ferry in both directions. Commuters traveling between 14th Street and Chambers Street can take a 2 or 3 train, which will run local. Free shuttle buses provide alternative service between Chambers Street and South Ferry.

2 Train: Trains will run local in both directions between Chambers Street and 34th Street-Penn Station, from 11:30 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

3 Train: On Saturday, from 6:30 a.m. to midnight, 3 trains will run local in both directions between Chambers Street and 34th Street-Penn Station.

Until late October 2015, 3 trains skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions. Free shuttle buses will be available.

For service to and from Rockaway Avenue, take a shuttle bus to Saratoga Avenue.

Shuttle buses to Pennsylvania Avenue will also transport commuters traveling to and from Van Siclen Avenue.

Free transfers will be available with a MetroCard.

4 Train: Until late October 2015, 4 trains skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions. Free shuttle buses will be available.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Crown Heights-Utica Avenue-bound 4 trains run express from 125th Street to Grand Central.

5 Train: 5 trains are suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Between East 180th Street and Bowling Green, 5 trains will run every 20 minutes.

Free shuttle buses will operate all weekend between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street, stopping at Baychester Avenue, Gun Hill Road, Pelham Parkway and Morris Park.

Transfer between trains and shuttle buses at East 180th Street.

6 Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall-bound 6 trains run express from 125th Street to Grand Central.

7 Train: On Saturday and Sunday, from 5:45 a.m. to 7 p.m., Flushing-Main Street-bound 7 trains will run express between Queensboro Plaza and 74th Street-Broadway.

For service to 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street, take the Flushing-Main Street-bound 7 to 61th Street-Woodside or 74th Street-Broadway and transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

A Train: A trains will be rerouted via the F line in both directions between West Fourth Street and Jay Street-MetroTech, from 11:45 Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. During the same period, A trains will run local in both directions between West Fourth Street and 59th Street-Columbus Circle.

Also between 11:45 Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound A trains will run express from 168th Street to 125th Street, and Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains will skip 104th Street.

Until winter 2016, all Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains skip 80th Street.

For service to 80th Street, take a Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to 88th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

For service from 80th Street, take a Brooklyn-bound A train to Grant Avenue and transfer to a Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train.

At all times until winter 2016, Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains skip 111th Street.

For service to 111th Street, take a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to Lefferts Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

For service from 111th Street, take the Q112 bus, days and evenings. Or, take a Brooklyn-bound A train to 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, C trains will be rerouted via the F line in both directions between West Fourth Street and Jay Street-Metrotech.

During the same period, Brooklyn-bound C trains will run express from 168th Street to 125th Street.

F Train: At all times until fall 2015, Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains skip Ditmas Avenue.

For service to Ditmas Avenue, take a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train to Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train.

For service from Ditmas Avenue, take a Coney Island-bound F train to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train.

Until fall 2015, all Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains skip Avenue X.

For service to Avenue X, take a Jamaica-bound F train to Avenue U and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train.

Take a Coney Island-bound F train to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train for service from Avenue X.

L Train: From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, L service operates in two sections:

Between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction, and between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway, where trains will run every 24 minutes.

Q Train: Queens-bound Q trains will skip Neck Road and Avenue U from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

S Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, the Rockaway Park Shuttle will be suspended. Straphangers can take free shuttle buses between Rockaway Park and Beach 67th Street, stopping at Beach 105th Street, Beach 98th Street, and Beach 90th Street.

Transfer between free shuttle buses and A trains at Beach 67th Street.
