JACKSON HEIGHTS — A group of LGBT authors will share their words at a reading later this week at the Queens Pride House.

LGBT Queens Book Night will celebrate work published this year by local authors, according to writer and organizer Tim Fredrick.

He'll join Shelley Ettinger, Andrew J. Peters and Rigoberto Gonzalez in selected readings on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m at the Queens Pride House, at 76-11 37th. Ave., #206.

"By celebrating the books published by LGBT writers living in Queens, we aren't just celebrating the vibrant literary community in Queens, we are celebrating the fact that Queens is a welcoming place for all people," Fredrick said.

It will be emceed by local Jackson Heights writer Nancy Agabian.

Authors will take questions and sign books after the reading, and refreshments will be served.

It's funded in part by Poets & Writers, with funds from New York State Council on the Arts.
