15 Subway Lines Slated for Service Disruptions This Weekend, MTA Says

MIDTOWN — Fifteen subway lines are slated for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues to repair stations, signals and rails.

Here’s a breakdown by line:

1 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 1 trains will be suspended in both directions between 14th Street and South Ferry. 2 and 3 trains will run local in both directions between Penn Station and Chambers Street. Shuttle buses will be available.

2 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 2 trains will be suspended in both directions between East 180th Street and 149th Street-Grand Concourse.

Shuttle buses will operate in two segments: Express trains will run between East 180th Street and 149th Street-Grand Concourse and will stop at Hunts Point Avenue and 3rd Avenue-149th Street along the 6 line. Local trains will make all regular 6 stops between East 180th Street and 149th Street-Grand Concourse.

3 Train: Until October, 3 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions. Use free shuttle buses instead.

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 3 trains will be suspended in both directions between Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue. Free shuttle buses will be available.

4 Train: Until next month, 4 trains will skip Rockaway and Van Siclen Avenues in both directions.

Until later this month, Brooklyn-bound 4s will skip 103rd Street.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:30 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, 4 trains will be suspended in both directions between Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue. Free shuttle buses will make all regular stops.

5 Train: From 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday, 5 trains will be suspended in both directions between East 180th Street and Bowling Green.

The 4 and free shuttle buses will be available as an alternative. 5 train shuttles will operate between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street.

Express shuttle buses will operate between East 180th Street and 3rd Avenue-149th Street, stopping at Hunts Point Avenue.

Locals will make all stops between East 180th Street and 3rd Avenue-149th Street.

6 Train: Until later this month, 6 trains will skip 103rd Street.

A Train: Until winter 2016, Far Rockaway-bound As will skip 80th Street. As an alternative, take the Far Rockaway or Lefferts-bound A to 88th Street and transfer to back to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

For service from this stop, take a Brooklyn-bound A to Grant Avenue and transfer to a Far Rockaway-bound A train.

Far Rockaway-bound A trains will also be skipping 111th Street until next winter.

For service to 111th Street, take a Lefferts-bound A train to Lefferts and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

For service from this stop, use buses or take a Brooklyn-bound A train to 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts-bound A train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Downtown A trains will run express from 125th Street to Columbus Circle.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound As will skip 104th Street.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, C trains will be rerouted via the F line in both directions between Washington Square and Jay Street-MetroTech.

From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday to Monday, Brooklyn-bound Cs will run express from 125th Street to Columbus Circle.

D Train: From 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Bronx-bound D trains will be rerouted to via the N line from Coney Island to 36th Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Bronx-bound D trains will run express from Canal Street to Barclays Center.

E Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound E trains will run express from Canal Street to Penn Station.

F Train: Until the fall, Queens-bound F trains will skip Ditmas Avenue.

For service to Ditmas Avenue, take a Queens-bound F train a stop farther and transfer back to a Coney Island-bound F train.

For service from Ditmas Avenue, take a Coney Island-bound F train to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound F train.

Until the winter, Queens-bound F trains will also skip Avenue X.

For service to Avenue X, take the F train to Avenue U and transfer back.

For service from it, take a Coney Island-bound F train to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound F train.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, F trains will be suspended in both directions between Coney Island and Kings Highway.

N Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound N trains will run express from 59th Street in Brooklyn to Barclays Center.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound N trains will skip 49th Street.

Q Train: From 11:45 Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Manhattan-bound Q trains will skip 49th Street.

R Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, R trains will be suspended in both directions between 59th Street and 36th Street in Sunset Park.

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, R trains will skip 49th Street.

S Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, the Rockaway Park shuttle is suspended. Free shuttle buses will be available for alternate service between Rockaway Park and Beach 67th Street.
