UNION SQUARE — A man punched a woman and her friend at a house party on East 17th Street after one of the guests called her fat, police said.

The fight broke out shortly after 4 a.m. on Sept. 5 inside an apartment on East 17th Street, between Union Square West and Fifth Avenue, when a guest called a woman fat, according to a police report.

During the brawl, the 26-year-old party host, punched the insulted guest and her female friend, who are both 23 years old, leaving one of them with a cut on the eyebrow, according to police.

The host was arrested on multiple misdemeanor charges, including assault. He was released and a temporary order of protection was issued. He's due back in court on Oct. 27, according to court documents.

His lawyer did not immediately return a request comment.

Update: A judge dismissed the charges against the host on Jan. 15 and sealed his record, court documents show.
