WINDSOR TERRACE — Police arrested the man wanted in connection with a string of gunpoint robberies in which he snuck up behind female victims, showed them a gun and demanded their valuables, according to police and a criminal complaint filed by prosecutors.

Justin Farrow, a 29-year-old Bed-Stuy resident, was arrested Sept. 4 and charged with five counts of robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Farrow was arraigned Sept. 6 and is being held on $250,000 bail, a spokesman for the Brooklyn District Attorney's office said.

In one case, Farrow pistol-whipped a woman who didn't immediately give up her purse, authorities said.

Farrow was charged in connection with the following incidents, which happened in the 72nd and 66th precincts, according to the NYPD:

► On Aug. 20 at 2 a.m., Farrow approached a 54-year-old woman from behind as she was walking near Caton Avenue and East Seventh Street. After Farrow showed her a gun, the victim handed over her purse, which contained $60, a cell phone and jewelry.

► On Aug. 23, Farrow crept up behind a 35-year-old woman as she left the Ft. Hamilton F train station at 12:30 a.m. He showed her a gun and demanded her purse. The victim handed over her purse, which contained her cellphone, $45 in cash and a gift card.

► On Aug. 27 at 12:49 a.m., Farrow approached a 28-year-old woman from behind as she was walking near Ocean Parkway and Caton Avenue, showed her a gun and reached for her bag. When the woman resisted, Farrow hit her on the head with the gun repeatedly and grabbed her bag, which contained $25 and a cellphone.

► On Aug. 27 at 1:09 a.m., Farrow walked up to a 34-year-old woman from behind as she was walking near East Third Street and Caton Avenue. Farrow showed the victim a gun, then took her purse, which contained $12 and a cellphone.

► On Aug. 29 at 11:10 p.m., Farrow followed, then mugged a 20-year-old woman near 19th Street and Seeley Street.

Farrow does not have any prior criminal convictions, according to the DA's office. His Legal Aid attorney could not be reached immediately for comment Tuesday.

Though the muggings had Windsor Terrace residents looking over their shoulders, crime overall is down 3.82 percent this year in the 72nd Precinct, which spans from Windsor Terrace to Sunset Park.
