Woman Thrown Down Subway Stairs After Fighting for Stolen Phone, Police Say

CORONA — A woman was thrown down a flight of subway stairs after chasing after a group of suspects who stole her phone while she rode the 7 train, police said

A 35-year-old woman was on a Flushing-bound 7 train at Junction Boulevard on Aug. 22 at 1:50 p.m. when a group of suspects snatched her Galaxy S6 phone from her hand and fled, according to the NYPD.

She chased after the group and caught up to them in the station, trying to get her phone back.

But the suspects threw her down the stairs and fled again, police said. 

The victim was treated for an injured elbow at Elmhurst Hospital. 

Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows the suspects at an unidentified 7 train station.
