Bed-Stuy Bingo

Where: C’mon Everybody, 325 Franklin Ave., Bed-Stuy
When: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Comedian Murray Hill hosts bingo night at Bed-Stuy’s newest entertainment venue, C’mon Everybody. Start off the night with the 2-for-1 happy hour, which lasts from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Bingo begins at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.

When: 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Soul Glo Project presents a Variety Show

Where: Silvana at 300 West 116th St., Harlem
When: 7 to 9 p.m.

Check out a variety show that features comedy, music, and poetry in the basement of the cafe on West 116th Street. SNL writers and performers have been known to stop by. There is no cover charge for the event.

The Brooklyn Comedy Festival Edition of Night Train with Wyatt Cenac

Where: Littlefield, 622 Degraw St., Gowanus
When: 8 p.m.

Experience the borough’s comedy festival with performers Seaton Smith, Nick Turner, Myq Kaplan, Michelle Buteau, Kevin Barnett, Charles McBee, and special guest DJ Jean Grae. Tickets are $5 to $8.

Movies on the Waterfront: "The Incredibles"  

Where: Big Lawn at Astoria Park, Astoria  
When: 8:30 p.m.

Bring a blanket or chair and catch a movie under the stars as part of the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition’s screening series, which this week will feature the superhero animated flick “The Incredibles.”

Tuesday, Aug. 25

Bike-In Outdoor Screening of “E.T. the Extra Terrestrial”

Where: 50 Kent Ave., Williamsburg
When: 6 p.m., with screening at dusk

Citi Bike is celebrating its debut in Williamsburg and Greenpoint with a free outdoor screening of “E.T. the Extra Terrestrial,” chosen for its iconic cycling scene. Reese’s is co-sponsoring the event, so expect free Reese’s Pieces to eat along with the film.

Central Park Film Festival screening of “Fame”

Where: Between Sheep Meadow and the 72nd Street Cross Drive
When: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., movie begins at 8 p.m.

“Fame” is a musical drama set at New York City’s High School of Performing Arts. Rated R. A DJ will play music before the movie begins.

Rooftop Screening of “Dreamgirls”

Where: Tony Dapolito Recreation Center, 3 Clarkson St., West Village
When: 8 to 11 p.m., doors open one hour before the start of the screening.

Picnics and blankets welcome, but no alcohol. A limited number of chairs available, and you must show ID to get in the building. “Dreamgirls” is a musical starring Beyoncé. What more do you need to know?

Free Screening of "E.T."

Where: Swindler’s Cove, Sherman Creek Park, Inwood
When: 8 to 10:30 p.m.

Catch the Spielberg classic at a free outdoor screen hosted by NYC Parks and the New York Restoration Project. Complimentary hot popcorn will be served.

Bar Trivia with Geeks Who Drink

Where: Bar Thalia at Symphony Space, Upper West Side
When: 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy $5 drink specials at Bar Thalia, Symphony Space’s bar, while participating in a trivia night hosted by Geeks Who Drink. The trivia quiz is modeled after pub nights in the U.K.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

Uptown Battle of the Bars

Where: MIST Harlem at 46 West 116th St., Harlem
When: 6 to 10 p.m.

Twelve of the best bartenders from Harlem, Washington Heights, South Bronx will compete in a head-to-head battle to determine who is the best bartender uptown. DJs will perform throughout the night until a winner is crowned.

Central Park Film Festival screening of “The Blues Brothers”

Where: Between Sheep Meadow and the 72nd Street Cross Drive
When: Doors open at 6:30 and the movie begins at 8 p.m.

“The Blues Brothers,” starring John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, James Brown, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, follows the Blues Brothers on a mission to raise money to save an orphanage. Rated R. A DJ will play music before the movie begins.

Cider Night & Meet the Makers at Mission Dolores

Where: Mission Dolores, 249 Fourth Ave., Park Slope/Gowanus
When: 7 to 10 p.m.

Meet the people who make some of this bar’s favorite ciders, including the makers behind Farnum Hill, Naked Flock and Downeast. Ciders will be tapped starting at 2 p.m. but the party starts at 7 p.m.

From the Page to the Screen: “The Piano Lesson”

Where: Restoration West Plaza, 1368 Fulton St., Bed-Stuy
When: 8 p.m.

Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation hosts its free, weekly film screenings with movies adapted from the literary works of African-American authors. This week’s selection is based on the play by August Wilson, and is part of Restoration’s tribute to the playwright.

Thursday, Aug. 27

71st Precinct Back-to-School Barbecue

Where: Parkside Playground, Winthrop between Rogers and Bedford avenues, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens
When: 3 to 7 p.m.

Brooklyn’s 71st Precinct is hosting a back-to-school cook-out for the neighborhood kids complete with free food and games.

Native Sounds from North Carolina

Where: National Museum of the American Indian, 1 Bowling Green, Downtown
When: 6 to 8 p.m.

Hear award-winning, North Carolina band Dark Water Rising perform their soulful music at this free concert. The band’s members are part of the Lumbee and Tuscarora Nations.

55+ Singles Speed Dating

Where: Central Queens Y, 67-09 108th St., Forest Hills
When: 6 p.m.

Find your love match during a speed dating event at the Central Queens Y in Forest Hills. The event is for singles who are 55 and older. They will be paired for quick dates while moving from table to table in order to talk to the next person. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $10 per person.
