RED HOOK — Three men suspected in the shooting that injured five people and caused a pregnant woman to miscarry in Red Hook Monday night are in custody, police said.

The drive-by shooting took place about 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 3 and wounded five people, including a pregnant woman who lost her unborn baby after being injured in the attack, officials said. Two other women and two men were also injured in the incident.

Police said they were interested in Marquise Frederick, 19, who is suspected of opening fire on the group along with another gunman. A third man was also in the SUV that drove up to the Red Hook apartment building at 9A Dwight St., officials said.

The New York Daily News reported that Frederick had turned himself in to authorities.

Police said the gang-related shooting was retaliation for another shooting that had occurred late Sunday night near the Gowanus Houses.

Just a down the street from where the shooting took place, the 76th Precinct held its 21st annual Night Out Against Crime in Coffey Park Tuesday afternoon.

Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson, who spoke at the event, said he was "confident we'll soon make an arrest."
