JACKSON HEIGHTS — The annual Ecuadorian parade stepped off on 69th Street Sunday, honoring the country's independence from Spain in the 1800s.

Before the march, Mayor Bill de Blasio joined other local elected officials to honor Assemblyman Francisco Moya and Oswaldo Guzman, president of Ecuadorian Civic Association, at a breakfast sponsored by Assemblyman Michael DenDekker.

The pols later marched up Northern Boulevard to 90th Street for the parade, along with floats, historic cars, dancers and musicians who celebrated Ecuadorian culture.
