BROOKLYN — Police arrested two men on Wednesday for the shooting of an off-duty NYPD officer during a robbery in East New York this week.

Tori Saunders, 22, of the Upper West Side, was arrested in Nassau County for shooting the 33-year-old officer outside 737 Bradford St., near Hegeman Avenue, on Tuesday, police said.

Police did not immediately release details of the arrest of the second suspect, who had not yet been charged as of Friday morning.

The gunmen approached officer Tramaine Oxley, who was in a car parked on Linden Boulevard with three other people, and opened the driver side door, the New York Daily News reported.

The men took watches, jewelry and cash from the people inside then shot Oxley in the left arm and grazed his torso, police said.

Oxley returned fire against the suspects then took himself to Brookdale University Hopsital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

Saunders was charged with attempted murder of a police officer, robbery, assault, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.

He has 24 prior arrests for various charges including weapons possession, robbery, forgery and grand larceny, police said.
