GOWANUS — Fourth Avenue's building boom shows no signs of slowing — another new high-rise is the works near 11th Street, according to permits filed Thursday.

Developer Mendy Lowy of Pacific Management filed plans for a 10-unit, 10-story building with a store on the ground floor at 488 Fourth Ave.

The new building would replace a three-story walk-up, though no demolition permits have been filed for the site. Lowy did not respond immediately to requests for comment.

The new high-rise joins at least 10 other tall buildings slated for the stretch of Fourth Avenue that divides Park Slope from Gowanus.

On the other side of 11th Street, construction is under way on a high-rise at 470 Fourth Ave. that will be 12 to 14 stories.
