► "The Amazing Acro-Cats Break Into Brooklyn" Cat Circus

These cats will jump through hoops for you — literally. A traveling cat circus is coming to town, and the starring felines will be jumping through hoops, walking tightropes, balancing on balls and even playing in a band at the show. There are eight shows running throughout the weekend, and tickets cost $25.
► Atlantic Avenue Stoop Sale
Where: Atlantic Avenue between Furman Street and Fourth Avenue, Downtown Brooklyn

Shops and salons along Atlantic Avenue will offer discounts and special deals during the weekend stoop sale, including 15 to 50 percent off select merchandise at Collier West, deep discounts at A Cook's Companion and a storewide 20 percent off at Antler & Woods. Entry is free.
► The Peach Truck Does NYC

The Peach Truck, a Nashville-based mobile market of fresh Georgia peaches and peach-related products, is making its way up to the Big Apple this week with pit stops in Crown Heights, Carroll Gardens and Williamsburg starting at the beer hall Berg’n on Friday. More than 75 Brooklyn-based bands will play at five local bars in Prospect Heights this weekend for the second annual Prospect Heights Music and Arts Festival, put on by Washington Avenue favorite The Way Station. A $5 donation is suggested for each act.
Friday, July 17
► "The Son of the Sheik" Silent Movie with Live Music Accompaniment
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, Park Slope
When: 7:30 p.m.
A free screening of the 1926 silent film that was international heartthrob Rudolph Valentino's last performance will be shown with live musical accompaniment by Alloy Orchestra.
► Sunset Park Landmarks Committee’s Friday Night Social
Where: Irish Haven, 58th Street and Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park
When: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Support Sunset Park’s local efforts to turn the neighborhood into a historic district with Friday night drinks at Irish Haven. The Sunset Park Landmarks Committee, the group advocating for the historic designation, will cover two free drinks for the first 100 people who show up and sign a postcard to the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission, urging the agency to take action. This event is free.
► Ethiopian Funk by Lions
Where: Barbes, 376 Ninth St., Park Slope
When: 10 p.m.
The seven-piece band Lions performs Ethiopian funk from the 1960s and 70s, plus their own songs. A $10 donation is suggested.

► Ennis Playground Community Celebration
Where: Ennis Playground, 12th Street between Second and Third avenues, Gowanus

Join your neighbors at this free community event to help clean up Ennis Playground. Volunteers will repaint the basketball court while snacking on treats. Hosted by the Gowanus Alliance and Gowanus Canal Conservancy.
► Come Out & Play at Kickstarter HQ

Fundraising startup Kickstarter hosts an event showing off some of the world’s best games. Check out the headquarters, and try out both live-action games and street games at this free festival.
► Wellness at the Mansion

Start your weekend off with some healthy living at the Stuyvesant Mansion. Participants can drop by for classes and workshops including yoga, meditation, and massage, or check out the Wellness Market with local artisans and designers. Workshops range from free in cost to $20.
► Red Hook Walks

Red Hook's free weekend street fair will feature chocolate tastings, live music performances and pop-up sidewalk cafes from Red Hook bars and restaurants.
► South Slope Doggy Fashion Show and Street Party

When: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Comedians Brook Van Poppelen and Giulia Rozzi host the second annual canine competition for most stylin’ pooch. Writers from "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" will serve as judges and there will be live music by Miss Ida Blue. This event is free.
Sunday, July 19
► Sunday Suppers at the Farm on Kent
Where: North Brooklyn Farm, 320 Kent Ave., Williamsburg
When: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Enjoy the first Sunday Supper of the year in South Williamsburg's pop-up park, with farm-to-table food made from the farm just feet away. The dinner offers three courses, is vegetarian and vegan-friendly and provides drinks. The meal, the farm says, will use every part of the vegetable, from the roots to the leaves. Tickets cost $75 and include drinks.

When: Starts at 2 p.m. and goes on all day
Get ready for doggie heaven. This event is jam-packed with events for dog owners and their pets — including kiddie pools, agility courses, doggie-friendly fireworks, dog hot dog eating contests and meet-ups with celebrity dogs. The BarkBox-sponsored event will also have raffles, food trucks and a beer garden, for a way to spend an all-doggie day. Admission is free.
► Super Smash Melee Tournament and EVO viewing party
Where: Max Cellar at Amancay's Diner, 2 Knickerbocker Ave. in East Williamsburg
When: 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Both amateur and expert players of Nintendo game Super Smash Brothers Melee can hit up New York's only Melee tournament right off the Morgan Avenue L stop. A bonus this Sunday: the world’s biggest Super Smash Brothers Melee tournament, happening in Las Vegas, will be streaming on the projector while people play. Entry fee is $10, and it's BYOC — bring your own controller. Admission is $10.

Spruce up that bare wall in your living room with some art from T SPACE. The organization hosts an art show and art pop-up show this weekend where you can buy pieces starting at $20. Original work from emerging artists will be featured. Admission is free but there are VIP tickets for $5 that allow for advanced viewing from 2 to 3 p.m.
► Farmer’s Market Comes to Parkside Plaza
Where: Parkside Plaza, Ocean and Parkside avenues, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens

For the first time, a greenmarket is coming to Parkside Plaza with fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods and flowers, Grow NYC announced this week. Six farmers will participate in the new market, which is free to enter and will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday through Nov. 22.
