UPPER WEST SIDE — A man stole $1,200 in women’s tops from a display table at American Apparel, police said.

The shoplifter went into the clothing store, on Broadway near West 74th Street, grabbed a bundle of shirts from a table and left without paying on June 30 at 2:45 p.m., police said.

He then fled south on Broadway, police added.

Police did not know how many tops the man stole nor did they have a description of the suspect.

The two American Apparel outposts in the neighborhood have been hit by shoplifters repeatedly, according to police reports.

On June 11, a pair of teenage thieves stole $1,092 in jeans from the American Apparel on Broadway at West 60th Street, police said.

In February of 2014, a thief stole 31 pairs of pants worth $2,600, from the West 74th Street location.
