CROWN HEIGHTS — A woman went on a rampage in a Checkers restaurant in Crown Heights this week, breaking a cash register to steal $500 then taking 20 chicken wings from the fast food joint, police said.
Officials say the woman, who was approximately 50 years old, entered the eatery at 43 Empire Blvd. at about 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 28.
That’s when she verbally threatened several employees, pushing past them to grab a cash register. She then threw it on the ground, breaking it and taking $494.50 in cash.
Before she left, the woman also stole 20 chicken wings from the restaurant, the police report said.
No one was seriously injured in the incident and the woman is still at large, police said.
