There are only two degrees of separation between actor Kevin Bacon and a local lost dog.
The star tweeted a photo sharing details about the lost dog, "Molly," to his more than half a million followers Monday afternoon.

Molly ran off in Riverside Park at West 83rd Street on Wednesday night, according to residents spreading the word about her disappearance.
The poster shared by Bacon describes Molly as "friendly but very shy" and advises anyone who sees her to call 540-327-3288.
Another version of the poster warns that "she is a little shy of strange men," and advises those who find her to offer her treats.
Bacon is a longtime Upper West Side resident who lives here with his wife Kyra Sedgwick and their two children.
