93-Year-Old Fatally Struck by Truck and Car in Crown Heights, NYPD Says

BROOKLYN — A 93-year-old man who had just parked his car was run over by a truck, then a car in a broad daylight hit-and-run in Crown Heights on Tuesday, police said.

The victim, whose name was not immediatley released, had parked his car on the west side of Albany Avenue near Lincoln Place at 11:13 a.m. and was crossing to the other side of the street when a tractor-trailer truck hit him and dragged him underneath, NYPD officials said.

A second car driving behind the truck also drove over the man, dragging his body before stopping, according to police.

In video, the second driver, a woman in a blue shirt, is seen getting out of her vehicle to inspect the body before returning to her car and driving away.

Both vehicles left the scene without helping the man, police said.

The victim was was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital just after 2 p.m., police said.

The NYPD is investigating the incident and no arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning.
