BROOKLYN — Mayor Bill de Blasio told the 1,300 students at Brooklyn Technical High School's graduation that they were ready to attend any college in the world because of the quality of the education they received at the specialized high school.

But when it comes to spelling, Brooklyn Tech may need a little more work.

In a program for the school's 133rd commencement exercises, Brooklyn Tech incorrectly spelled de Blasio's name and that of his son, Dante — who was among the graduates — three separate times.

In a listing of the graduates, Dante's last name is spelled "Deblasio." In another listing for the speech and debate award, Dante's name is spelled "deBlasio."

And on the last page of the program on a list of dignitaries, Bill de Blasio's name is spelled "Bill De Blasio."

"This is one of the greatest high schools in the United States of America and you have a lot to be proud of," de Blasio told those assembled at Friday's ceremonies.

Journalists noted the error on Twitter.

"It's official...this city is going to hell," tweeted Ben Max, executive editor of the Gotham Gazette.
