LOWER EAST SIDE — Three schools have been relocated for the day following an early morning fire, city officials said.

Firefighters began battling flames at 145 Stanton St. — which houses the Lower East Side Preparatory High School, Marta Valle High School and the School for Global Leaders — at 12:31 a.m., according to an FDNY spokesman. There were no injuries.

As a result of the fire, students were relocated to nearby schools for the day, according to a Department of Education spokesman.

Students and staff from Marta Valle High School and the Lower East Side Preparatory High School were sent to Cascades High School, at 198 Forsyth St., while faculty and students from School for Global Leaders went to Anna Silver P.S. 20, at 166 Essex St.

It is unclear if the schools will return to Stanton St. next week.
