Staten Ireland Fair

Where: The Staten Island Boys Football League, 1475 South Ave., Bloomfield

The 17th annual Staten Island Ireland Fair comes to Travis featuring live entertainment on two stages, bagpipe bands playing all day, raffles, vendors, food and rides for children. The fair is on June 13 and 14, from noon to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the gate and early tickets for $8 can be bought at Forest Foot Care Group, Joyce's Tavern, Canlon's Restaurant and O'Neill's Irish Pub.

Friday, June 12

32nd Annual Neptune Ball

Where: Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston

Snug Harbor's annual gala, the Neptune Ball, returns with cocktails, dinner, performances, awards, a live auction, entertainment and dancing. The event is hosted by Saturday Night Live actor and Staten Island native Colin Jost with performances by the Hungry March Band, Sri Lankan Dance Company and more. The ball starts at 6:30 p.m. with performances starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $275 and $25 for just the performances.

Saturday, June 13

Stephanie Lindquist and Sonia Louise Davis SHARP Exhibit Opening

Where: Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art in Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston

The Snug Harbor Artist in Residency Program (SHARP) will hold an opening for its latest exhibit featuring work from the culmination of Stephanie Lindquist and Sonia Louise Davis residence at Snug Harbor. Lindquist creates sculptures and public art and Louise Davis works with large format cameras for site-specific and community based projects. The opening is from 2 to 4 p.m. and the exhibit runs until July 12. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students and children under 12 are free.

► Puppets in the Park

Where: Conference House Park, Pittsville Street

The Paper Moon Puppet Theatre will perform the "Cinderella" for two shows at noon and 2 p.m. Tickets are $10, children under two admitted for free. Seating is limited. For reservations call 347-355-8989.

Sunday, June 14

► Annual Pug Fun Day

Where: Alice Austen House Museum, 2 Hylan Boulevard, Shore Acres

Pugs will take over the lawn of the Alice Austen House to celebrate a photographers' love of the dog. The day features a pug costume contest and a book signing by Rhys Ella, author of Kato and the Fountain of Wrinkles. The event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 and BYOP (bring your own pug or pup).

► Atlantic Salt Maritime Festival

Where: Atlantic Salt, Inc., 561 Richmond Terrace, New Brighton

The third annual Atlantic Salt Maritime Festival opens up the city's salt depot to the public with the centerpiece being tours of the U.S. Coast Guard training ship "Eagle." The ship, built in 1935, is the only active commissioned sailing vessel in the military. The free event will have food, music and craft activities for children provided by the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce and local businesses. The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
