Man Wanted for Stealing TV, Liquor from Bed-Stuy Restaurant, Police Say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A man swiped more than $1,000 worth of liquor and electronics from a popular Bed-Stuy eatery, police said.

The suspect entered Brooklyn Beso restaurant, at 370 Lewis Ave., through an open front window at roughly 11 p.m. on May 27, and snatched a television, iPad mini and 21 bottles of alcohol, according to the NYPD.

The items were valued at $1,200, according to officials.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect using a flashlight to search the restaurant's office.

No arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon.

Employees at Brooklyn Beso declined to speak on the burglary and the owners were not immediately available for comment.

Bed-Stuy’s 81st Precinct saw 29 burglaries in the four weeks of May ending on May 31, according to NYPD data.
