No one has ever accused the Ninja Turtle franchise of understatement, and its latest larger-than-life endeavor is one that might endear the heroes in green to New York's old school creatives: 2016's sequel to 2014's poorly received TMNT movie shot in SoHo Thursday night, recreating the beloved Village Halloween Parade with the Parade's creative team and an army of halloween costume-clad extras.

The parade shoot was scheduled for ten hours with a 6pm call time, and extras received $110 for their work on the film. The parade's signature giant skeletons and feature prominently in the shoot.

No spoilers about TMNT are apparent on set, though it seems that the parade could be the only place where giant bipedal turtles could realistically go undercover. And we all know how important realism is to the Ninja Turtles franchise.

No word on whether the cast and crew sampled Vinnie's pizza on pizza, though it seems like it would have been appropriate given the Ninja Turtle's affinity for pizza.
