PHOTO: Crown Heights Mural Missing from Bergen Street

Where has the Crown Heights mural gone?

The bright yellow and blue painting was missing from its spot on the south side of Bergen Street near Classon Avenue Wednesday, removed from the chain link fence where it had hung on wooden boards since last summer, according to residents on the block.

The piece was created last summer by local artist and "Broad City" illustrator Mike Perry, who works from a Crown Heights studio nearby. Perry did not immediately return inquiries about the fate of the mural, which has drawn the eye of many a neighborhood Instagrammer and even has its own Yelp page.

Is the mural being rehabbed? Was it stolen by some brazen street art thief? And most importantly, how will the brunching hordes at Berg’n document their trip to the neighborhood now?
