Woman Dies After Being Thrown From Car in Crown Heights Crash, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A 20-year-old woman was killed early Tuesday when she was thrown from the rear window of a speeding car that crashed in Crown Heights, police said.

The female passenger, whose name was not immediately released, was riding with a 20-year-old man in a 1994 Honda Civic that was speeding east down St. Johns Place between Rogers and Nostrand avenues, police said.

The Honda struck 11 parked cars before crashing about 3:53 a.m. with a sudden force that ejected the woman onto the roadway, NYPD officials said.

The victim suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital, police said.

The driver was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition, police said.

There were no immediate arrests.
