Check out fine arts studios and galleries with the South Of the Navy Yard Artists’ free, self-guided tour. The SONYA Art walk lets viewers meet with participating artists and attend workshops and events outdoors and at local stores. Peek inside workspaces in the brownstones of Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy, and Fort Greene, and stroll through the warehouses and lofts around the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Where: The Villain, 50 N. Third St., Williamsburg
Get a taste for Taiwan at this annual night market in Williamsburg. This year, organizers hope to pump up the authenticity with more unique dishes like pig ear salad and Taiwanese sausage. A $40 ticket will you get a little sampling of everything. Friday, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

► Street Tree Care Workshop in Cobble Hill
Where: Cobble Hill Park
Brooklyn wouldn't be the same without its tree-lined streets but these arboreal residents need a little TLC as well. Join the Cobble Hill Tree Fund and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden's GreenBridge horticulture program at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to learn the importance of street trees and how to take care of the borough's leafy locals.
► Bed-Stuy Community Youth & Cultural Fair
Where: Tompkins Avenue between Myrtle and Vernon avenues
Bring your kids for free face painting, balloon characters, snacks, and music at Bed-Stuy’s third annual Community Youth & Cultural Fair. Enjoy some free games, prizes, and giveaways for the family and learn what resources are available for young people in North Brooklyn. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. and continues until 6 p.m.
Sunday, May 31
Where: The Diamond, 43 Franklin St., Greenpoint
Try the best of your neighbor's homemade guacamole recipes The Diamond on Sunday. Besides tasting tons of guac, local caterer The Fury will also be offering tacos and ceviche as part of a day-long foodie pop-up. Sunday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
► Brooklyn Symphony WWII Anniversary Concert
Where: Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Prospect Heights
In its last concert of the 2014-2015 season, the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra will play Sergei Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5 in B-flat, Op. 100, which debuted in Moscow in the last days of World War II 70 years ago. The concert will take place at the Brooklyn Museum at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.
Where: The Bait & Tackle, 320 Van Brunt St. Red Hook
The organizers behind Red Hook's outdoor movie series are hosting a party and fundraiser to announce this year's dates and line-up of films. Attendees will get a chance to vote on the "neighborhood choice flick" and take part in a raffle to win prizes from local businesses. Entrance donation fee is $10 for free food at the bar. Sunday, 5 p.m.
► "75-Foot Riot" Installation
Where: Great Lawn, Prospect Park
This art installation, made of 75 feet of silkscreened banners, explores the affect of the 1991 Crown Heights riots, according to local artist Lane Sell, who became interested in the conflict in part because of his mixed Jewish and Caribbean heritage, he told DNAinfo New York last fall. The exhibit will be on display from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Prospect Park and is open to the public.
Where: 43 Lincoln Rd., Prospect-Lefferts Gardens
See some of Prospect-Lefferts Gardens' most spectacular homes at the 45th annual Lefferts Manor House Tour. The self-guided tour includes eight homes, two gardens, light refreshments and a jazz performance at the local Bluebird cafe. Tickets are $20 online (available here) and $25 day-of. Sunday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
