Rockaway Beach Irish Festival

Where: St. Camillus Parking Lot, Beach 100th Street and Shore Front Parkway, Rockaway Beach

Shop for authentic Irish clothing, art and handmade goods at this festival, sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, which began in 2013. Live music will play throughout, with popular Irish rock bands including Shilelagh Law, Jameson's Revenge, Narrowbacks, McClean Ave Band and more. Admission is $10, and kids under 12 are allowed in for free. There is food and beer both days.

Noisey & Vice Present Bands at Riis Park Bazaar

Where: Riis Park concessions, 157 Rockaway Beach Blvd., Neponsit

Live bands and DJs will play at the new bazaar at the beach's concessions — which features food from places like Ample Hills Creamery and Fletcher's Barbecue. 

On Saturday, Ironchic, Soda Bomb, Somerset Thrower and DJ Mathcore will perform, starting at 2 p.m. 

Sunday's show features Laura Stevenson, Slingshot Dakota and Vagabon. The shows are free.

Ed Sheeran and Foy Vance Perform in Forest Hills

Where: Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, 1 Tennis Pl., Forest Hills

Grammy-nominated British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran will kick off this year’s summer concert series at Forest Hills Stadium. Sheeran scored a number of hits, including “Sing” and “The A Team.” He also wrote songs for One Direction and performed with Taylor Swift. Irish musician Foy Vance is slated to be the opening act during the concert. Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets are still available online. 

 Cancer Benefit with The Who Tribute Band Concert

Where: LIC Bar, 45-58 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City

LIC Bar will host a concert and fundraiser to support Teen Cancer America, a favorite charity of rock band The Who, which creates facilities and programs for teens with cancer. The bar first got involved with the organization in 2013, after the British rockers donated amps and other equipment to the venue after it was flooded by Hurricane Sandy. The show will feature a performance by The Who tribute band Who's Next. Tickets are $20 and can be bought at LICBar.com. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

 NYC Musical Saw Festival

Where: Trinity Church, 31-18 37th St., Astoria

Musical saw players from around the world will be in Astoria for this annual event, which celebrates the unique sound of the tool-turned-instrument. The concert will feature performances as well as musical saw workshops. Admission is $10, and the festival begins at 2:30 p.m.

► Sunnyside Post Mile Run

Where: Starts at Torsney Playground, 41-15 Skillman Ave., Sunnyside

Local blog Sunnyside Post will host this mile-long race around the neighborhood as a fundraiser for Coalition for the Homeless. The route will start at Torsney Playground and end at 44th Street and Skillman Avenue. Participation costs $10 in advance, $15 the day of the race or $5 for kids. The race begins at 10:30 a.m. For more information, visit their website.
