BROOKLYN — An unidentified woman was found unconscious and covered in cuts and bruises on an East New York street Thursday morning, police said.
Police got a call about a woman being assaulted at near Van Sinderen and Liberty avenues about 6 a.m., and found her lying on ground when they arrived, an NYPD spokesman said.
The victim had wounds covering her face and head along with cuts and bruises covering her body, the spokesman said.
She is listed in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital, police said.
The woman did not have any identification on her and investigators are still trying to figure out who she is, NYPD officials said.
There had been no arrests as of Thursday afternoon, police said.
