CORONA — A man was in critical condition after he was slashed in the throat and beaten with baseball bats by three men in an early-morning attack, police said.

The victim, who is between 25 and 30 years old, was on the corner of 104th Street and 41st Avenue at 6 a.m. on Wednesday when three men, dressed in dark clothing, approached him, according to police.

They all hit him with bats and the victim was slashed in the throat with an unknown object, police said. The suspects fled south on 41st Avenue, and police are still searching for them.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition with injuries to his neck, arms, back and head, an NYPD official said.
