EAST HARLEM — Commuters won't be able to take southbound 6 trains from 103rd Street for the next four months.

Starting at 5:01 a.m. Monday, the southbound platform will be closed for repairs until September 2015, the MTA announced Thursday.

Instead of taking the subway, commuters heading downtown can hop on the M101, M102, or M103 and take a free transfer to the 96th Street station, the MTA said.

The northbound station will remain open.

Construction work includes critical repairs the station’s draining system as well as repairs to the platform edges, floor tiles, ceiling and walls. The entire station will be repainted.
