EAST NEW YORK — A 35-year-old woman was killed around the corner from her East New York home in a hit-and-run accident early Tuesday morning, police said.
Sidney Ramsarup was walking southbound on East 108th Street, near Glenwood Road, at about 5:25 a.m. when she was hit by a tan-colored SUV driving the same direction on East 108th Street, police said.
The driver fled the scene, according to police.
Ramsarup was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
