FLATIRON — The beloved bookstore that closed up shop at its 57th Street location a year ago, will reopen for business in its new home in June, the managment company at the new location said.

Rizzoli Bookstore is set to open in June at 1133 Broadway, according to Richard Falk, a spokesman for Kew management, which manages the building.

Last year when the shop shuttered, New Yorkers bemoaned the loss of the decades-old institution and launched a campaign to get the building they had called home landmarked. That campaign ultimately failed and jackhammers began to hack apart the historic building last July.

Rizzoli Bookstore first opened in 1964 and moved to its 57th Street storefront in 1985. Its vast collection includes books on fashion, interior design, art and architecture translated in several romance languages, according to the bookstore's website.

Rizzoli Bookstore could not immediately be reached for comment.
